Creative Process
Photography: an eye
Photography is an art created in the 19th century by Joseph Niépce. Technological advancements have allowed for endless improvements in the quality of photographic equipment and image editing, speeding up the production process and reducing costs—which has increasingly popularised photography and its use. But at the end of the day, creating a photograph isn’t just about pressing a button and calling it done, right?
This is our perspective on the creative process of a photograph:
The creative process of a single photograph happens in seconds, we would say. The few seconds it takes to bring your eye to the viewfinder, or the moments just before that, are incredibly imperceptible. With practice, it becomes easier to decide on the framing and composition of a photograph, but sometimes we need a little more time to figure out what’s the best angle, the best light, and the best position, depending on the kind of photograph we want to capture.
