The journey of NECTON, an enterprise that gave rise to two types of businesses - Microalgae and Traditional Sea Salt - is an inspiring entrepreneurial story.
Commencing in 1997 as a project originating from the School of Biotechnology at the Catholic University of Portugal, the objective was clear: to produce microalgae. Today, NECTON is organized into two distinct business units: the Microalgae Business Unit and the Traditional Sea Salt Business Unit.
Our collaboration with the NECTON team led us to explore product photography and graphic packaging design. Creating packaging in three different languages - Portuguese, English, and Korean - is a challenge that combines the complexities of laws, regulations, and language and country-specific preferences with the desired creativity to captivate the customer.
The goal was clear: to create packaging that stands out from the competition, with branding and brand aesthetics that transcend linguistic and geographical borders.
Product photography took place at the brand's salt flats, where we captured the visual content of the salt flats, the team, and the salt harvesting process.
This is an example of how NECTON embraces innovation and constant challenges, and we are excited to continue being part of this journey, creating images and designs that communicate the brand's excellence and authenticity worldwide.
