Odyssea

The ODYSSEA Blue Heritage project is a brilliant example of cross-border cooperation with an ambitious goal: to create a common ecotourism model that capitalises on the best European practices to enhance economic potential and promote the sustainable use of the cultural and natural heritage of coastal, maritime, and rural territories.

This initiative brought together the Consejería de Turismo y Deporte de la Junta de Andalucía, the Diputación de Huelva, RTA, and the Municipal Councils of Faro, Lagos, Vila do Bispo, and Mértola in a shared mission: to elevate these coastal cities as destinations of excellence, leveraging the rich identity of the territory and its historical, cultural, material, immaterial, archaeological, and natural heritage as the foundation for economic development under the common Odyssea brand.

Faro Azul

This project was an inspiring challenge for our creative team. What initially started as a statue evolved into an interactive and intuitive panel. The descriptive video transformed into five narrated videos in three languages. And the initial idea of a simple landing page expanded into a website and a mobile platform. Why? Because we understand that a project must evolve in line with market needs, the target audience, and of course, the project’s objectives.

The interactive panel installed at the Portas do Mar pier, also known as Cais da Porta Nova, is a concrete example of our work. It includes a description of the ODYSSEA project, a map of the islands with QR codes providing access to the informative videos in three languages, and the visual identity of the Iberian project.

The videos produced cover a range of topics, from island promotion and tourism to Ria Formosa, local gastronomy, culture, and fishing. Each production was meticulously planned, with detailed research on each island to ensure the content was both informative and engaging.

In summary, ODYSSEA Blue Heritage is more than just a project; it is a celebration of the cultural and natural richness of the partner coastal cities. We are proud to have been an integral part of this joint effort and are excited to continue creating unique experiences that promote and preserve our historical and natural heritage, while connecting people to the beauty of these special places.
