This is a project flow productions is developing at the moment, this is a case study of how we are designing and animating game assets for a mobile game company.
Flow is now acquiring experience for the game design sector of the game industry. This project showcases the process and the final results of our work in developing the gameplay and also animations, illustrations and others.
Our process is divided in 4 sections, Discover, Define, Develop, Deliver
The team did extensive research for the project, both visually and also on the historical side. The images and the colours are a mix of already existing games and other illustrations provided by the client
We developed a study on game design based on trials and tests from previous experiences. We also studied a lot of already existing games within the genre of the game the client wanted to develop, this information helped us and the client find a solution for the desired style for the game and types of gameplay
Here we proceed with organization tools to guide the team with the project, such as notion, figjam and others. Producing mind maps of the product, product direction, solutions such as in game stores and how they would work, and more.
Early drawings and how the character design proceeded, the team was responsible for making the illustrations and animations of the project, and how they would function in combat.
Animations the team made for the project were quite complex because it involved a number of animations where we needed to relate to the interactive aspects of the game, so a flame or an arrow needed to be thought through before making it, because they would collide with the many characters present in the plane.
